I was reading over my work, when I came across this sentence:

"Nothing stirred but the leaves in the breeze."

And I wondered, "Is that how you spell breeze?"

I went quickly through various incarnations inside my head. Brease. Breaze. Breese. Then I realised it was spelt right.
